The Highlands Inn Bed & Breakfast is one of the finest award winning turn of the century Painted Lady Victorians in the “forever wild” Catskill Mountains. Within 2-1/2 hours of the New York City metropolitan area, the Inn is conveniently located for all your year round activities.  Belleayre Mountain, Catskills Winter Snow Park, is a mere 2 miles away.

Although the Inn was built in 1904, it will immediately gain your love with its warm atmosphere, tasteful décor, priceless chestnut woodwork, fine carpentry and its shear size. Turned into an Inn over 50 years ago, The Highlands Inn sets the standard for historical Inns in the area.

Unlike most Inns its age, it has undergone renovations in several stages, trying to maintain as much of the personality it was built with—essentially it is a new house in an old skin. Other conveniences include high-speed wireless internet, telephone, theater system, extensive DVD library, billiards, piano, library, refrigerator and twenty types of herbal tea.

Our five richly appointed guest rooms feature period furnishings, quality beds, Egyptian cotton sheets, bath sheets and ceiling fans. The three spacious rooms on the second floor have king or queen size beds and private baths. The third floor has two rooms that share a vintage bath with a claw foot tub/shower, perfect for families. The Highlands Inn is committed to encouraging, promoting and supporting ecological consciousness by following green practices. Enjoy your gourmet breakfast such as soufflés, frittatas and quiches, and for that special occasion we do in house catering for up to 40 people, all served on vintage china. We use only the finest and freshest ingredients and are as organic as possible.
